  Re-appropriation

Today we no longer have time to feel or want. The triumphant unreality of our time, has imposed the rhythm of its heartbeat and the goals of their ethic. Amid the rush of our lives between the scheduled work  and fun, the routine becomes the new single dominant social value.

In our postmodern and neoliberal society, the idea of a thoughtful, abstract and transcendental thought is viewed as an evil practice, and the citicens involved in such an intellectual enterprise are classified as being engaged in an useless trade.

Today seems that think is a capital crime in a pragmatic society as ours. The fundamental guideline of behavior in our paradigm society has become: "it is forbidden to think for yourself." There is no doubt that around the processes of global cultural homogenization that has been imposed, radical, difference, is beset so fierce by  a standardizing delirium.

Revolutions are finnished, Che Guevara went from a libertarian flags to fashion print T-shirts, the utopian revolution of Mao Tse-Tung it´s not even the shadow of that ghost that frightened Europe. Utopias coming to charm mankind have crumbled one by one. The thought has been eclipsed by emerging stars of soccer, reality TV´s, and Big Brother.

It may seem that there are no values that are not metabolized by the great machine of society. When an individual establishes a link with the world, is an illusory link. that does not seek to satisfy their spiritual needs, but adapt to the social mandates, the status, and a set of values and guidelines  that society dictates.
We are at a particular moment in the technology, for Plato politics = technique, for us our technology is our politic.

Technology distributes power, and power is the basis of politics.
Western culture since ancient times has tried to mechanize the thought, it ceases to be something that flows in the brain, as seen in Taoist culture, its taken out of mind to put on a machine, reduplicating as mechanical brain and then an electronic brain capable of producing human thought.

The race of governments forcomputer  development as miliary  application at first instance and subsequently as a civil commercial application, shows that technical inventions that are at our disposal reproduces the means of economic production of the society they belong to, so if we are in a competitive capitalist society, the technology will be or will be designed in this way.

The technology sold as freedom has been designed to increase productivity, getting more reliant on it and enslaving us. Governments seek to convert the citizens through e-government in our  own bureaucrats, accountant, operator, secretary, thus getting us to give our time free to perform tasks that should be done by professionals. From the Marxist point of view, as workers what we have is time to sell in exchange for money, if you become all of these roles, in addition to other daily functions, what we get is that we work more for less, or shadow-work as Ivan Illich calls it in his critique of the modern societies.

The simple use of technology is not sufficient, nor satisfactory, only an intelligent reappropriation and a subversive use technology will allow us to release .... this message is recorded and posted on this recycled and re-appropriated digital media as a call to necessity of the subversive use of technologies.
